About salt Lamps

Himalayan Salt Lamps are crystals carved from crystal rock salt (vary in colour), hollowed out to fit a lightbulb inside. When lighten up, they give out a warm, and nice glow varies from orange hue to reddish-pink. They are decorative Lamps you can buy for your home, office, factory or warehouse.

The salt in these lamps comes from the Himalayan foothills, a mountain range that stretches about 1,500 miles across Pakistan, India, Bhutan, and Nepal. True Himalayan salt lamps come from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan. The salt mine produces a reddish, pink, or off-white colour.

Slat lamps have known for countless benefits. Products containing pink Himalayan salt have become very popular in recent years. They also appeal to those wanting to take a more natural approach to their lifestyle.

Himalayan Salt Lamps have multiple uses. These work as an excellent source of air purifier since it is composed of salt, and natural salt helps in absorbing moisture and purifying it by the process of hygroscopy. The salt lamp is known to help in spreading positive energy around it and may help to improve sleep cycles; this is due to the release of negative ions. With the soothing glow released from the salt lamp, it automatically helps to create a calm effect and spread a peaceful aura around the environment. It is also very beautiful and works as a wonderful home décor.

Himalayan Salt is rock salt mined from the Punjab region of modern Pakistan. The salt has a pinkish tint due to mineral impurities. It’s primarily used as a food additive as table salt,  cooking, food presentation, decorative lamps, massage,  spa treatments and much more.

Yes, all of our Himalayan Mineral Crystal Salt products come directly from the Khewra Salt Mine located in Pakistan.

The salt lamp should last forever if your lamps are switched on regularly and kept away from damp area’s; they only need new lightbulbs at intervals.

We do recommend to change the lamp after two years of use, due to damp build-ups and moisture contents.

These Lamps are Available in our online store where you can buy, and we will be able to deliver it for you to the address of your choice.

A Light bulb is used to heat the lamp and light your space. As Himalayan salt is heated, it has been reported to provide two unique benefits.

Hygroscopy: Himalayan salt is a hygroscopic substance, meaning that it attracts water from its surroundings. The salt draws in water molecules, and the irritants and allergens found in it, from your indoor air. When the light bulb heats salt, the water then evaporates back into the air, but the trapped particles remain inside the salt.

Ionisation:Salt lamps have been shown to release negative ions naturally. When these ions are released, they attach to positive ions in your air like allergens, odours, and other common household particles. The positive and negative ion connection creates a particle that is too heavy to remain in the air, allowing it to fall to the floor where it’s picked up during routine cleaning.

Yes, the lamp does need to be switched on to work as the lamp usually consists of a bulb. Having heating properties.  The heat helps in the effective functioning of the salt. The negative ions of the salt are released only when the lamp is on. They also tend to sweat if it’s not switched on and this may affect the lamp.

Turning the lamp on so that it heats and evaporates the water is an extremely important part of the process because salt draws in moisture. Extended periods without heat may cause water to pool on your surface. To prevent this from happening when your away from home, unplug the lamp and wrap it in a plastic bag.

No, all you need is a damp cloth or sponge to clean the lamp every couple of weeks — also a quick change of the light bulb occasionally.

The proper way to clean the salt lamp is to switch off the lamp, Unplug it, use a moist cloth to wipe the dirt/dust away. Make sure never to make it completely wet or it will spoil your lamp. Salt lamps also need to be cleaned when they are sweating; otherwise, it can get very wet, dry it under air or strong sun for 4-5 hours.

Please click here to download Salt lamp user manual to do it Correctly.

Unplug the lamp and store it into the box until next use.

Before Next use, Please wipe clean it and follow user Manual for further instructions.

You can place the salt lamps on a counter, shelf, bedside table or other surfaces.

We advise you to keep your salt lamps when you are home, but like all electronics, it is not wise to leave your lamp unattended when someone is not at home. When you get home, turn on all of your Himalayan salt lamps until you leave again.

Dimmer switches, when used on ‘Dim’, should only be on dim for very short periods. When a salt lamp has a Dim switch, and it's on Dim, the bulb has less power getting to it, which causes it to produce less heat, if the weather is quite humid, the salt lamp will sweat, and start weeping. Which may require another clean and wiping out procedure.

Where Button switch Give full flow to bulb and increased heat level maximise the lamps productivity.

If your Salt Lamp weeping can cause damage to furniture, we recommend using a non-conductive plate/coaster or placement article to gather excess water/salt, which can easily be disposed of.
